Students For Liberty

BRIEF

Motivo partnered with Students for Liberty to help them quickly adapt their video courses to be filmed entirely remotely during the pandemic. These courses were designed to teach students about philosophical and economic principles, providing them with a deeper understanding of these complex subjects.

The courses were hosted by college professors around the country including: 

• Chris Freiman, Associate Professor of Philosophy, College of William and Mary

• Peter Jaworski, Associate Teaching Professor and Faculty Director, Georgetown University

• Abigail Hall Blanco, Associate Professor of Economics, University of Tampa

• Bryan Cutsinger, Assistant Professor of Economics, Norris-Vincent College of Business at Angelo State University

• Eric Daniels, Assistant Director, Clemson Institute for the Study of Capitalism

PRODUCTION

After multiple pre-production meetings with the client, Motivo conducted script read-throughs with each professor to collaborate on fine tuning the content. We then coordinated filming with our Remote Production Kits, obtained location photos, determined wardrobe, and guided the professors through assembling the shipped gear.

On the day of filming, we remote-directed several hours of content, controlling the cameras, lighting, and audio on our end, then uploading all assets to the cloud and coordinating return shipping. For post-production, Motivo edited and designed graphics for each video, blending in stock footage and motion graphics to further highlight the lessons being taught, and worked closely with the client through multiple rounds of review.

RESULT

Motivo's hard work paid off, resulting in the successful creation and release of five engaging educational courses on economics and philosophy. The courses were posted to SFL Academy and Learn Liberty's YouTube channels, where they have been viewed by thousands of curious students looking to broaden their knowledge on these subjects.

By partnering with Motivo, Students for Liberty was able to overcome the challenges posed by the pandemic and continue their mission of educating young people on important philosophical and economic principles.
